Who is responsible for your data
NEOTERRE, domiciled in Tulum, Quintana Roo, Mexico, is responsible for processing the personal data you share with us through this website. You can reach us at info@neoterre.mx or by phone at +52 984 238 7572.
This notice explains what data we collect, what we use it for and how you can control it, in accordance with Mexico's Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties.
What data we collect
Only what you type into the contact form:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number, if you choose to provide it
- The project you're interested in and the message you write us
If you use the Selvarum lot quoter, additionally: your name, phone number and email, together with the lot and payment plan you priced.
We do not collect sensitive personal data, financial or asset information, or data about minors. We also do not build profiles or make automated decisions about you.
How your data reaches us
It's worth knowing exactly how this works, because it isn't the usual arrangement: the contact form has no server behind it receiving what you type, and no contact database. When you press send, your browser composes a message with what you typed and opens WhatsApp so that you are the one who sends it to us. Until that moment the data has not left your device, and you can close WhatsApp without sending anything.
The Selvarum lot quoter is the exception. When you generate a quote, the details you typed are sent to our server, which recalculates the quote and emails it to our sales team so an advisor can contact you. The site does not store them in a database: they live in that email. If you then choose to pay the deposit online, the payment takes place on Stripe's page; your card details never pass through this site.
You can also write to us directly by email, by phone or through our social media. In those cases we process whatever data you choose to share in that exchange.
What we use it for
Primary purposes, necessary to assist you:
- Responding to your enquiry and following up on it
- Informing you about the developments, services or properties you ask about
- Arranging visits, tours or meetings you request
Secondary purposes, which are not necessary and which you may decline without affecting how we handle your enquiry: sending you news about new projects or construction progress. If you'd rather not receive these, tell us when you reply to our first message or write to info@neoterre.mx.
Who your data is shared with
We do not sell or trade your personal data. There are four third parties involved and it's worth naming them:
- WhatsApp, operated by Meta Platforms. It is the channel through which your message reaches us, so the content of that conversation is also subject to Meta's privacy policies.
- Instagram, also owned by Meta. Our social page embeds Instagram posts, and that content may set Meta cookies in your browser when you visit that particular page.
- Resend, the service that delivers the email with your Selvarum quote to our team. It processes that message on our behalf and does not use it for other purposes.
- Stripe, the payment processor, only if you choose to pay a deposit online. It receives your email, the lot you are reserving and the payment details you enter on its page, under its own privacy policies.
In addition, we may share data with the competent authorities where the law requires it.
Your ARCO rights
At any time you may ask us to access the data we hold about you, rectify it if it's inaccurate, cancel it when you believe we shouldn't keep it, or object to our using it for a particular purpose. These are known as ARCO rights.
To exercise them, write to info@neoterre.mx stating your name, a way to contact you, a clear description of the data concerned and what you would like us to do with it. We will need you to prove your identity — or your authority to act on someone else's behalf — so that we don't hand data to the wrong person.
We will reply within a maximum of twenty business days and, where the request is well founded, we will act on it within the following fifteen business days.
Withdrawing your consent
You can withdraw your consent to our processing your data by writing to the same address. Bear in mind that, depending on which data is involved, we may no longer be able to continue handling your enquiry.
You may also ask us to limit the use or disclosure of your data, or register with PROFECO's public do-not-advertise registry if you'd rather not receive commercial communications.
How we protect your data
We apply administrative, technical and physical safeguards that are reasonable and proportionate to the kind of data we handle, protecting it against loss, misuse, unauthorised access or alteration. The site is served entirely over an encrypted connection.
Changes to this notice
If we change the way we handle data, we will update this notice at this same address and change the date shown at the top. We recommend checking back from time to time.
If you're not satisfied
If you believe your right to data protection has not been properly addressed, you may turn to Mexico's National Institute for Transparency, Access to Information and Personal Data Protection (INAI), at inai.org.mx.
